Handcrafted industrial lighting and functional design pieces, made from reclaimed timber and honest materials.

Old materials, new purpose.

Hewn & Iron was created around a simple idea: combine the warmth and individuality of reclaimed timber with the functional character of industrial metalwork. The designs are developed and handcrafted in Hampshire.

Timber grain, marks and variations are part of that character. Rather than promising an identical surface on every piece, we offer a choice of finishes and discuss the specification before making your order.

Two different expressions

The Original Pipe Collection centres on black iron pipe and compact timber bases. The Foundry Collection gives timber a larger role, including upright forms, wider beams and a three-light pendant.
